As the world gets ready to welcome 2024, sad news for those who planned to ring in the new year with ’80s metal band MÖTLEY CRÜE. Some apparent production issues have forced MÖTLEY CRÜE to cancel their planned “Crue Year’s Eve 2023”  concert scheduled to take place at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California, this New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023.

On Thursday, December 21, 2023, just ten days ahead of the scheduled gig, MÖTLEY CRÜE explained why they were canceling the show in a brief statement:

“It is with deep regret we must inform you the “Crue Year’s Eve 2023” show in Palm Springs is being cancelled. The very short timeframe to produce the event resulted in issues beyond our control. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024!”

Drummer Tommy Lee told to Desert Sun that the band were apparently approached to do the show, not the other way around and the show announced back on December 1, 2023, nearly a month to get a single show off the ground would be enough time for a band as big as MÖTLEY CRÜE, but apparently that’s not the case.

This would have been their first live show since the end of their world tour with DEF LEPPARD that took place last November in Melbourne. You can watch the entire concert at the video below:
