Japanese Thrash Metallers SHADY GLIMPSE, drop a lyric video for “S.S.D. – System Shakedown”, taken from their latest album “Supreme Gift”, which was released in December, 2021 via Wormholedeath.
Yuichi Takei (vocals) stated: “I wrote this song for warning everyone who affected from well-known people. We’ll face with many problems in life. And also have to meet many kinds of people. I want to say, “Don’t lose yourself! Listen, search and think over! If it’s a good idea, you adopt it. If it’s a different idea to you, you can learn something. Never force your opinion!”
Shinya’s wild guitar riffs, Tomozow’s deep grounding bass, Nishiyama’s shattering beats and Yuichi’s insane lyrics are combined to form SHADY GLIMPSE.
SHADY GLIMPSE released their debut album “Fear of the Thrash Box”, in 2005. Second album titled “Thrashing Japs”, in 2006 and third album “Thash Refrain / Splash refrain”, in 2010. In 2011, bass player Masashi left the band due to sudden hearing loss. In the same year, Nishiyama and Tonozow joined the band as drummer and bassist respectively. In 2014, Hironori Suzuki aka “Hee-Chung”, the drummer who has supported the band for five years (2006-2011), was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma. “Hee-Chung” passed away on January 19th, 2015 at the age of 33.
In 2016 and 2017, SHADY GLIMPSE released in succession, an exceptional compilation entitled “Sound Gradation”. “Sound Gradation” is a two-part album: Spring and Summer – “Chapter of Tears of Rain and Light of Rainbow Bridge” & Autumn and Winter – “Chapter of the wretchedness of freezing dry mountain foliage and the light of Akane-shining you”. It is a work that colors the four seasons of the band with both joy and sorrow in the past works and lifestyle.
SHADY GLIMPSE have been actively developing creative activities, and all of their works have been highly recognized in both sales and evaluation. Their reputation is not limited to Japan, but they have expanded their activities to overseas. Furthermore, they have supported Japanese Tour of IN FLAMES, AGNOSTIC FRONT, VADER, DESTRUCTION, ROTTING CHRIST, HAVOK and realized other important gigs in Europe and Australia.
