Swedish Extreme Metallers DARKANE, have released a new video for the song “Convicted”, taken from their debut album “Rusted Angel”, originally issued in 1999, to celebrate its re-release on all digital platforms on Friday, April 15th.
The new clip, was filmed by Philipp Koch in 2014 at Bibelot Poppodium in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
Released in 1999, “Rusted Angel” introduced the underground metal community to Darkane and their Melodic Death mixed with a liberal dose of Thrash.
Speed is the key component to this group’s onslaught, and they generally use it to fine effect. If the goal was to create a vertiginous feeling inside the heads of unsuspecting listeners, then “Rusted Angel” has to be a smashing success for DARKANE.
In other news, late last month, DARKANE announced that they are going to release their long-awaited new studio album “Inhuman Spirits” on June 24th via Massacre Records.
It was mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Rorysound Studios, and is packed with intense, brutal, groovy and catchy melodic death/thrash metal! The cover artwork was created by Mathias Blom / The Happy Creative.
