A new video circulating online shows As I Lay Dying’s lead vocalist, Tim Lambesis, in a heated exchange with his wife, Dany Lambesis. The video, which has no audio, appears to have been recorded by a camera placed on a nightstand.

In the video, Lambesis is seen shirtless and sitting at the edge of a bed, engaged in a tense conversation with Dany. The situation escalates when Dany appears to yell something, prompting Lambesis to aggressively move toward her. After a brief moment, he retreats, slamming his hands on a suitcase.

He then returns to the bed, places his hand on Dany’s leg, and continues yelling. She responds, and Lambesis lunges toward her once again, grabbing her face with both hands before retreating and hitting his head and chest. The video ends when Lambesis notices the camera and covers it.

You can watch the video below:

The appearance of this video comes just days after Dany Lambesis made a statement regarding rumors of abuse by Tim, which she had previously denied. Dany had posted a statement on Instagram where she specifically stated:

“I am writing this statement to address the recent rumors circulating on social media regarding my husband, Tim Lambesis, and the allegations of domestic violence. It has come to my attention that false claims have been made, suggesting that my husband has harmed me.

I want to make it unequivocally clear that these allegations are completely false. My husband has never caused harm to me in this manner, and I am deeply saddened by the unfounded rumors that have emerged during this challenging time for his band. There has never been an incident that warrants such accusations. We have had our relationship issues like many other couples, but nothing to the degree of domestic violence or what is being portrayed online.

It deeply saddens me that I find myself in a position where I must publicly explain my personal life and relationship because of flat out lies. It is completely unjust that everything spread the way it did and nobody even considered my voice to be heard through it all. This is unfair to both Tim and I and our relationship. It is disheartening to witness how quickly misinformation can spread and the impact it can have on individuals and families. I ask that you respect our privacy during this time and refrain from perpetuating these harmful rumors any further.”

A second video of Tim Lambesis has surfaced, adding new dimensions to the already complicated situation. In this new video, which includes audio, Lambesis is seen flipping a table while sitting with his wife, Dani. When she attempts to leave the room, Lambesis stops her and begins hitting his face.

This new incident adds to a series of unfortunate developments for Lambesis and As I Lay Dying, who are facing significant internal and external issues. The chaos began in late October with the departure of bassist Ryan Neff, followed by tour manager Alex Kendrick. The exodus didn’t stop there, as guitarists Ken Susi and Phil Sgrosso, as well as drummer Nick Pierce, also left the band, effectively dismantling its lineup. These developments led to the cancellation of their upcoming European tour.

In a social media post on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Tim Lambesis highlights the events that led to his decision to file for divorce, revealing the circumstances he was experiencing in his personal relationship and the evidence he considers crucial to the case. Below is his full statement:

“There is currently a restraining order and a domestic violence investigation being filed against Dany Norris (formerly Lambesis). Anything she is saying now is to distract people away from that to instead focus on my own inappropriate (but not illegal) reactions to these anxiety inducing interactions.

This woman assaulted me and verbally/mentally abused me over 3 years. I took the much needed and overdue step to leave her yesterday by delivering divorce papers. That is the reason there have been attempts at retaliation toward me online today that pale in comparison to what will really be the focus of the courts.

The following evidences are part of the case: multiple videos of her assaulting me, videos of her chasing me around the house with a knife or scissors, video of her insisting that I delete all other accounts of her physically assaulting me under threat of her knocking me out with a weapon held over my head, photos of a black-eye she gave me with witness accounts of the event, witness accounts of me being threatened if I try to leave, even temporarily.

I’m certain she will counter by trying to expose my anxiety filled reactions and defenses, but please remember that reacting in panic by hurting myself is far different than what I’ve listed above. The timing of these public attacks online are because I served her with divorce papers yesterday after many days of her pleading for me stay while also flipping back and forth to attempting to exert abusive control. This is blatantly a retaliation for me finally leaving a relationship I should have run from a long time ago.”
