Australian DEATHCORE act THY ART IS MURDER, has premiered an official music video for their new single “Join Me In Armageddon”, produced by Todd Farley. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album “Godlike”, which will be released on September 15th through their own Human Warfare record label venture.
Guitarist Andy Marsh comments: “ ’Join Me In Armageddon’ is a song that started off with one idea: self-destruction. I suppose throughout this record we have ended up touching on a lot of themes that came to the fore these last few years, for us, and maybe you as well. Loss, distance, doubt, pressure and tension have made their way through our lives and now are intertwined and immortalized in this record, ‘Godlike’.”
It was only weeks ago that we were treated to split EP from Nuclear Blast trio THY ART IS MURDER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY and MALEVOLENCE, “The Aggression Sessions”. Last week, the band giffted us their triumphant set from their January “Decade Of Hate” show at The Forum in Melbourne, which you can stream it on YouTube for free.
“Godlike” saw the band reunite with legendary producer and mixer, Will Putney, to deliver ten nihilistic tracks. Thy Art Is Murder are masters of their craft at this point, as they deliver sharp stabs, guttural descents and grooves with muscular athleticism and confidence.
