UK-based Thrashers DAY40, have released their new single “Slaves”. The song is part of the forthcoming second album of the band, entitled “The Yellow Emperor” and due later this year. DAY40 started as side project of Guitarist/Vocalist Den Dimitrov back in 2003.
Just before they unveil their new single, DAY40 announced that Nikolay Atanasov (ex-AGENT STEEL, PROPHECY, AVENGER’S REIGN) will be their new guitarist.
The band stated: “Just before we drop our new single “Slaves”, we would like to introduce to you Mr. Nikolay Atanasov (ex-AGENT STEEL, PROPHECY, AVENGER’S REIGN) who agreed to step in at short notice and offer his stellar lead guitar work for our new album. Our current guitarist Charlie “Kalle” Apps decided to step down from his role while he’s dealing with some personal matters at the moment and cannot participate on our upcoming album. He also recently became a father and he needs to take a care for his family in this uncertain times we live right now. We wish him all the best and can’t wait to welcome him back when the time for him is right!”
