Covid-19 has invaded in our lives for good, leaving nothing unaffected in our daily routines. Unfortunately, our favorite music and the bands that represent it were not excluded from this rule. The artists either tried to help and boost everyone’s morale, or they took advantage of this isolation time to offer us new material…

This is what the Swedish Symphonic Metallers THERION did. Due to the virus, they could not complete and release their new album “Leviathan”, so, they put together and released a collection called “Cover Songs 1993-2007”. The collection contains ten covers, which were either part of a Tribute album in which THERION appeared, or accompanied some of their own releases, between 1993 and 2007.

All of them are well-known songs, played in the style of the period that the Swedes went through at the time when each song was adapted, tracks from different genres of Metal and not only. Who doesn’t remember their awesome cover at ABBA’s “Summer Night City”! Indicatively, they cover IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, SCORPIONS, VENOM… do you want more? If so, it also contains three live tracks…

This is a collection that is addressed to their fans, but not only to them, as someone can find beautiful and meticulous covers of really favorite and remarkable songs.
