“1997 melodeath just came knocking on your door,” proclaims Marko Tervonen, guitarist for THE CROWN.

“To thank you all for your support during 2024, we would like to share the re-recording of the track ‘Hunger’, originally featured on the 1997 sophomore album “Eternal Death,” reads a statement from the band.

“Hunger” 2024 was recorded and engineered by Marko Tervonen at N3 Studio and MT Studio in April 2024. It was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studio. Until now, the song was only available on the Japanese version of “Crown Of Thorns”.

The Crown’s twelfth studio album, Crown Of Thorns, is out now via Metal Blade Records.

“Crown Of Thorns” serves as the band’s dynamic follow-up to 2021’s “Royal Destroyer” and the record’s musical dynamics are on a new level due in no small part to the 2022 addition of drummer Mikael Norén and bassist Mattias Rasmussen as well as the return of lead guitarist Marcus Sunesson, rejoining longtime members Tervonen and vocalist Johan Lindstrand.
