At 76 years old, the legendary BLACK SABBATH frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, has certainly defied the odds. However, this doesn’t mean that in his advanced age, Ozzy hasn’t faced difficult moments with his health. Numerous health problems, along with his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease, have forced him to cancel many appearances, keeping him away from the stage and forcing him to cancel entire tours.

With the spotlight on Ozzy and BLACK SABBATH’s final concert in Birmingham in July 2025, it is only natural to wonder if Ozzy will be fit enough to carry out the show.
In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy’s manager and wife, Sharon Osbourne, addressed these concerns, stating:
“Ozzy is very happy to be coming back and is very emotional about it. Parkinson’s disease is a progressive illness. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body, and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
Earlier this week, Ozzy gave a similar update about his health while speaking on his SiriusXM radio show, saying:
“I’ve made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive. I may be moaning that I can’t walk, but I look down the road and there are people who didn’t do half as much as I did and didn’t make it.”
The “Back To The Beginning” concert will take place on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, U.K. Along with Ozzy’s final solo performance and the last time the original BLACK SABBATH lineup will perform together, the concert will feature a true gathering of metal giants. We’re talking METALLICA, SLAYER, PANTERA, GOJIRA, HALESTORM, ANTHRAX, ALICE IN CHAINS, MASTODON… and the list goes on, and it seems to continue growing before the concert takes place.
Regardless of what happens next, Ozzy and BLACK SABBATH’s legacy is already cemented in the pages of history. It will be amazing to see them take their final bow, and Ozzy’s career deserves a fairytale ending.
