Japanese Symphonic Melodic Death Metal act SERENITY IN MURDER, has unveiled an official lyric video for its new single “Matrix” through Apostasy Records.

The Tokyo-based five-piece, envisions the world like a matrix where drops from the clouds and the tears of our sorrow come from the same source, and where we all are like moths fighting the attraction of candlelight. ‘Matrix’ once again showcases their ability to balance Extreme Symphonic Metal sounds and haunting melodies.

SERENITY IN MURDER released their debut album in 2011 (available through Spiritual Beast/Universal Music). The debut album, “The First Frisson Of The World”, received positive responses from not only within Japan, but from all over the world.

After many headlining tours around their home country of Japan, shows with ORIGIN (US), ABORTED(Belgium), MORS PRINCIPIUM EST (Finland), LAZARUS A.D. (US) among others, and a headlining show in Taiwan, the band went straight back into the studio to lay down their second album “The Highest Of Dystopia”, which was released March 2015.

“The Highest Of Dystopia” received high critical acclaim and peaked at number 13 in Japan’s official independent music charts. The band continued to tour up and down Japan until entering the studio again to recording their third album, “The Eclipse”. On February 10th, 2021 SERENITY IN MURDER released their fourth studio album entitled “Reborn” through Oyster Brothers Records.
