The Death Metal veterans OBSECRATION are one of Greece’s scene oldest and quality bands. The last year they gave us a very good album entitled “Onwards The Mystic Paths Of The Dead”. The band has been active for thirty years now with several releases with the album “Oceanum Oblivione” being their most characteristic release. It was released in 2000 and it is their second full length album. In December 2020 Supreme Music Creations decided to reissue this great record with bonus material in a limited edition of 500 copies.

Many fans consider this album as the best in OBSECRATION’s career. An opinion that is not far from reality as the album includes some of the best compositions this band has ever written. The musical style follows mainly Death Metal paths with several influences from the great DEATH, the early sound of Greek Black Metal and the German Thrash Metal scene. In some of the songs keyboards have been used, helping to create a more dark and morbid atmosphere. Also, there are parts in the record where Death Metal sounds more “technical” and progressive.

This reissue contains as bonus material the Promo ‘96 with two compositions from this album, which also have better sound, and is complemented by OBSECRATION’s songs from sessions and live performances during 1997. This release is a pretty decent package for those who want to include in their record collection one of  Greek’s Death Metal scene most historic and quality album.
