NIGHT SHALL DRAPE US came together from the corners of the Nordic underground, bound by blood and a shared spirit for executing traditional Black Metal to perfection. The band has unveiled “The Queen Of The Red Streams”, the second offering off its debut album, “Lunatic Choir”, out on April 24th via Season Of Mist. The song is dedicated to the intoxicating Goddess of time and death.
“The Queen Of The Red Streams” is a tithe to the Nordic Black Metal of the ’90s. NIGHT SHALL DRAPE US open with a signature interplay between melodic riffs and blast beats, only to wane into a haunting acoustic melody that waxes under the echoing calls of their lunatic choir.
A guitar solo rings out long enough to catch your breath, but relentless drums drive the song ever closer to the altar of the dark mother, who awaits her bloody work. “The Queen Of The Red Streams” lures you in, then drags you away toward the end with inevitable force.
“We traverse the arteries of timeless tunnels towards the illusory veil of life and death”, say NIGHT SHALL DRAPE US. “Mesmerized by the eternal dance, we submit our lives to cross the veil. She shall reap all that is false and set us free.”
