The Swedish veterans of Death / Black Metal NECROPHOBIC, announced that on October 10, 2020 they will release their new album “Dawn of the Damned” and as a preview of their upcoming album they are now putting out the single “Mirror Black”. This single is released on a limited edition 7-inch vinyl and includes the new song “Mirror Black” and a previously unreleased live recording of their classic song “Darkside”.
“Mirror Black” starts dynamically with the drums pounding with fury and the guitars churning furious riffs which are dressed with the necessary melodies. A Death / Black composition in the well-known style of NECROPHOBIC influenced by DISSECTION and the traditional Heavy Metal. The only thing that ruined my mood personally is the very clear production as I would prefer them to have a more raw sound. The second side of the single includes a sinister live recording of one of NECROPHOBIC’s best song, entitled “Darkside”, from their 1997 album.
This particular release is exclusively only for the die-hard fans of the band and to those who collect such releases as the new song will be in the upcoming album of the Swedes. Also, if the quality of “Dawn of the Damned” is similar to “Mirror Black” then we will be dealing with a very remarkable release as we have been accustomed from NECROPHOBIC the last thirty years.
