The Athenian duet of MISANTHROPY APOTHEOSIS returns with the destructive new EP “Against Your filthy Kind”, two years after the remarkable debut album “Black Death Euphoria”. The band members are Dimon’s Night (HUMANITY ZERO, INHIBITIONS), who plays everything in the band, and Kydoimos (HUMANITY ZERO) in vocals, with the band being active since 2017.
From the EP’s title and cover, you immediately realize that you are dealing with a musical journey through the rotten Death Metal paths. This EP came at the right time, shortly after the quarantine and through COVID-19, to embed us even deeper into the abyss of depression with its lyrics, and to destroy our souls with its brutal Death Metal sound. Violent Old School Death Metal that tears flesh, with the BOLT THROWER’s war spirit through “Against Your filthy Kind” atmosphere and the growl/guttural vocals influenced by Chris Barnes of SIX FEET UNDER.
There is no need for many words, a fact clearly understood by MISANTHROPY APOTHEOSIS, as they give us a powerful punch in the stomach with those three new songs. Until their next release (which I hope it will be soon), the sick brutality of “Against Your filthy Kind” will make our ears bleed!
