The pioneers of Industrial metal MINISTRY, released a psychedelic music video for their song “Believe Me”, taken from the band’s latest album, “Moral Hygiene”, which was released last October via Nuclear Blast Records.
Unlike the professionally-shot videos for previous singles “Search and Destroy” and “Disinformation,” this one is DIY created by frontman Al Jourgensen, guitarists Cesar Soto and Monte Pittman, bassist Paul D’Amour (formerly of TOOL), drummer Roy Mayora and keyboardist John Bechdel. MINISTRY hopes to encourage other artists to do the same during these difficult times when budgets are tight and still have fun with the creative process.
“Moral Hygiene” is MINISTRY’s 15th studio album and features some of the project’s strongest and most inspired material to date. It features the creative masterwork of founder and creator Al Jourgensen who spent the pandemic pause ruminating on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – while pondering just what we are going to do about it. The 10 pieces are a continuation of the laudatory “AmeriKKKant” of 2018 and present the social manifesto and Jourgensen’s call for culture to return to a set of standards that meets and embraces our humanity.
MINISTRY will embark on the “Industrial Strength Tour” with the MELVINS and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY starting March 2nd in Colombus, Ohio, alongside celebrating the 30th anniversary of seminal album “The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste”. Due to overwhelming demand, the band added 13 new dates with the tour now running through April 18th.
