Greek Death Blacksters MIND ERASURE, have released their new single “Azrael”, on January 23rd, and in collaboration with Maria Traka and the Fuego Art Dance Studio , presented the official video clip. “Azrael” is taken from the band’s forthcoming album “Connive”, out on February 13th.
Mind Erasure formed back in 2007, by Lambros Stathis, Dimitris Garnelis and Petros Gikas. Before “Connive”, they have released one demo and one promo. Through the years, many members came and left with more noticeable the founder member Dimitris Garnelis, who left the band for personal reasons right after the recording of their new album. They have shared the stage with many bands, such as, ROTTING CHRIST, PLANET OF ZEUS and TEMPERANCE.
The pre-production, recording and mixing of the album was done by Vassilis Koskinas at KOSKI studio. The mastering was done by Giorgos Neratzis, the band’s logo was designed by Dod K, the cover was designed by Gogo Melone and Penelope Mamalou was responsible for the masks.
“Reality constantly surrounds us like a wall and we suffocate inside it. Thus seeking to escape within our imagination. However, even there nothing is ideal because you can never escape from your very own shadows. The id of one’s self creates the most powerful demons that follow you in your every thought and desire haunting your mind and soul. They eventually become one and are no longer a shadow but a part of you… The sweet threat of the end, the inner daemon that … inside it you let yourself go and surrender.”
