Finnish newcomers HORIZON IGNITED wrapped up an incredible 6-week European tour last autumn, where they supported HYPOCRISY alongside SEPTICFLESH and THE AGONIST, picking up new fans in droves along the way. The band dropped a new single ‘Carry Me’, which has only previously been included on the vinyl version of their latest album “Towards The Dying Lands”. which was released on July 1st, 2022 via Nuclear Blust.
The band comments on the song: “When we released our second album ‘Towards The Dying Lands’, there was one song that was included only as a vinyl exclusive. It’s a brilliant track with a huge bridge and we decided to play it live during our first ever European tour with HYPOCRISY. We quickly noticed that it works in a live setting as well and since then we have all fallen deeply in love with the track, so it brings me much joy to announce the digital release of ‘Carry Me’! We hope that this track pleases our fans as much as it pleases us and we can’t wait to play it live again.”
Founded back in 2017 by guitarists Johannes Mäkinen and Vili Vottonen, the debut album “After the Storm” was unleashed when the northern winds choked HORIZON IGNITED’s hometown of Kouvola in early 2019. The completely self-published album met very positive feedback and the band has made its mark since then. HORIZON IGNITED’s diverse class of act − captivating and guitar-driven Melodic Death Metal flavored with catchy Metalcore elements among others.
