After his years of adventure as the guitarist of the great OZZY, the much loved virtuoso of the six-string goddess from Thessaloniki Gus G., returned to his first love and since then has released four great albums with his band FIREWIND and three more under his own name, to the delight of his followers.

So for 2021, the world-famous Costas Karamitroudis, prepared for us his first all instrumental album. Accompanying the album, comes a bonus CD, which includes selected songs from his solo albums, recorded live in Budapest in 2018.

Gus G is one of the most exciting and charismatic guitarists and this album is full of very beautiful ideas and moments, in songs like “Exosphere” or “Quantum Lead”. The best, however, comes in the middle of the album, with  “Chronesthesia” or the slower “Enigma Of Life” and the really amazing “Night Driver”. We must refer of course to “Force Majeure” (feat. Vinnie Moore).

Of course, a fully instrumental album is at the same time a great challenge, both in terms of variety and in keeping the listener’s attention, and this is where the star of Gus shows its brilliance. Unlike other solo albums of this kind, here you will not find boring moments or chatty points that are tiring and although very technical, it is not only addressed to musicians but to all music lovers

Overall, the album can be very strange for some and maybe even a little predictable for others. It may be a “Quantum Leap” in the title only, but guitar and good music lovers will love it.
