New effort with the third and best album for FULL HOUSE BREW CREW, the personal music group of Vangelis Karzis (former guitarist of ROTTING CHRIST). A work that is the natural continuation of the band’s previous albums but is clearly better than them on several levels. The vocals, although they need a partial improvement both in terms of their accent as well as the dynamism of their metallic tone, are more in line this time with the band’s musical style, especially in their brutal moments. Also, in terms of compositional skills and the sound production up to the aesthetics on the cover, the difference with the previous releases is substantial and their current style is clearly more professional.
Here we will hear dynamic riffs like the fist of the cover, which looks threatening and ready to smack you leaving your blood on it, while the rhythm section is as tight as the bloody and tight bandages around this fist. Especially in the first three compositions («Cult Of Misery», «Unforgiving Land» and the title track) it is as if you hear a machine gun blazing! Pervasive throughout the album are the influences from METALLICA of “Load/Reload” and after era, SEETHER, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, GODSMACK, KERBDOG and of course from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. In addition, the riffs of “Black Flag”, “Nail in You” and “Breaking New Ground” are so barbaric that it is impossible not to headbang!
So a really good album by FULL HOUSE BREW CREW that must be listened loudly, either as a driving companion or during a training session in the gym, that talks about “personal battles” and will definitely speak to the heart of the listener with its sincerity and immediacy like the sight of a “Bare Knuckle” in the ring. An album that will support and project a sound in an almost non-existent scene in Greece. Just for that reason, FULL HOUSE BREW CREW deserves its praise!
