Sadly, former METAL CHURCH drummer Kirk Arrington died yesterday, May 22nd, at the age of 61.
METAL CHURCH posted the following message on their official Facebook page: “We just received the sad news, Kirk Arrington passed away this morning due to health issues. RIP in brother! See you on the other side….”
Arrington drummed from 1982 to 1995, 1998 to 1999 and 2000 to 2006. He left METAL CHURCH in 2006 due to health complications from years of struggling with diabetes.
He participated in the first seven albums released by the great American Power Thrashers, from 1984’s “Metal Church” to 2004’s “The Weight Of The World”.
Besides METAL CHURCH, he released the album “Feel Me” with GARDEN OF EDENE in 2007, while he participated in both albums of VANDERHOOF, side project of guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof.
Rest In Peace, Kirk …
We send our sincerest condolences to Kirk Arrington’s family, bandmates and friends.
