From the ashes of MITHOTYN, FALCONER were born in 2001. Despite the fact that this band was created from the dissolution of a Viking Black Metal band, they preferred to change direction keeping the lyrical theme. Musically they preferred to arrange another style, the beloved European Power Metal having many Folk elements.
So FALCONER’s ninth album, entitled “From A Dying Ember” moves to these familiar waters… FALCONER are not famous for their originality. However, they have a specific footprint at their music. If they are famous for something, it is the fact that their compositions are of high quality, being not just a repetition of other bands. This obviously applies to “From A Dying Ember” which, through its eleven songs, gives you moments of pleasant musical accompaniment, taking you on a journey to legendary tales…
But if there is one thing that will leave this ninth album in history, is the fact that this is the last release of FALCONER! The band decided to break up, considering that is has nothing more to offer.
Keeping that in mind, let’s enjoy this last FALCONER’s offering. And just as they came out of MITHOTYN, so something else may come out of FALCONER that will continue to offer us beautiful moments of music.
