The Greek Symphonic metallers ENEMY OF REALITY presented an amazing cover of the traditional song “De Se Thelo Pia”. This is one of the greatest and most popular Greek songs, which, at the time of its original release, highlighted the close relations between Greece and Italy. The song is redefined by ENEMY OF REALITY, in a new, explosive and darker version that bridges the Greek tradition with the metal sound and maintains the authenticity of the original, bringing it into a modern dynamic context.
“Those who know us, know that we love the traditional element and its combination with our metal sound. Covering this particular song was a challenge we set ourselves, and although it came very naturally, it took a lot of work to shape it exactly as we envisioned it. As we always do, we didn’t treat it as a simple cover, but attempted to create a darker version that was more “our own”, always respecting the original, which is after all a masterpiece song that highlights our roots. We hope it will captivate you!”
Recording, mixing and mastering was handled by Steve Lado, while the video was directed by Bob Katsionis with Alexandros Haritakis as director of photography. Filming was done at Atlas Audio & Visual Studios.
