Greek Symphonic Metal act ENEMY OF REALITY, will release its highly anticipated third full-length album “Where Truth May Lie” on February 24th via Vinyl Store. The follow-up to the band’s 2016 second album “Arakhne” is another full concept album, this one based on a fictional story involving a Priest in ancient Greece, who is trying to find an answer for certain tragic events that destroyed his life, while several mythical forest creatures (known from Greek Mythology as Satyrs) claim that the only truth is hidden in music, dance, wine and erotic pleasures.
Once again the album is governed by a single theme, a very dark and atmospheric story of horror, fear, passion, revenge and suffering, set in ancient Greece. The musical evolution is evident, as the band itself states, since this time there is a strong use of traditional instruments such as the Cretan lyre and the flute. ENEMY OF REALITY’s new album is expected to be once again highly spiritual and deeply emotional. Pre-orders are now available at this location.
A few days ago, the band shared a music video for leading single “Serenade Of Death”, which tells the story of a tragic event when a mother and daughter were lost into the flames of their worship; their praying mutters becoming their eulogy when the fire of their offering candles sealed their fate. Ashes and piles of coal was what remained of them when the tragic father returned, the Priest. How ironic to be denied all you ever loved by the same gods you worship. Manic laughs and cries escaped his mouth as he knelled upon the ashes of all he held dear. This funeral pyre burnt out his faith.
The beautiful cover artwork was created by Thoth Graphics, the album was produced by Angelo Vafeiadis and the band itself, while the mixing was done by Michalis Skarakis at 133 Productions. Finally, the mastering was done by Nassos Nomikos at Vu Productions Mastering Studio.
