After a six-year slumber, DREAMLONGDEAD arise again with their new album, “Derelict”. This sonic journey was meticulously crafted using analogue gear and an analogue sound-desk at AUX Studio in Athens, Greece, ensuring an authentic, richly textured sound. Mastering duties were handled by Jack Control at Enormous Door Mastering (DARKTHRONE, COFFIN STORM, AURA NOIR, VOIDCEREMONY, FROZEN SOUL) in Austin, Texas.

“Derelict” introduces an invigorated line-up for DREAMLONGDEAD, infusing new energy and creativity into the band. Manos Giakoumakis (UNIVERSE217, ex-INFIDEL) brings his dynamic drumming into the mix, while Achilleas Charmpilas (BASTARD SWORD, 2 BY BUKOWSKI) adds layers of guitars, synthesizers, and keyboards. They join the stalwart founding members Tassos Palaiologos (ex-THEE HOLY STRANGERS/DOWN & OUT/THE 700 MACHINES) on vocals and guitars, Yiannis Pousios (ex- INFIDEL) on vocals, and Leonidas Vranas (UNDER THE SUN, ex-INVOCATION) on bass, forming a new team of actually old pals.

Spanning over 60 minutes, “Derelict” is an epic comprised of six tracks that traverse three conceptual and thematic realms, taking the listener on a journey from the depths of the grave to icy, volcanic deserts, and from there to the infinite, starless void. Musically, the album builds upon the band’s established Doom/Death/Post Metal foundation while venturing further into cinematic grandeur and progressive ambition, expanding DREAMLONGDEAD’s sonic dominion. Moreover, the disturbingly transcending work of the infamous Polish surrealist artist Zdzisław Beksiński is featured on the album cover, providing the most fitting landscape to portray the vibrations of the band’s music.
