There are times when you want something to lift you up, something that will make you forget your daily routine and just have a good time. Not to trouble you or put you in extra thoughts. Just to keep you entertained. BONFIRE’s new album is just that!
Despite the continuous releases in τηε recent years (only in 2018 they have released two albums, with not any amazing results), “Fistful Of Fire” comes to deny that the Germans no longer have anything to give. Instead, they look in great form, from Alexx Stahl’s amazing vocals to Hans Ziller’s guitars and André Hilgers’ drums, and that’s something they pass to the listener.
There is nothing “original” in here, neither the compositions, nor any new inspirations that will breathe new life into the genre or take it a step further. But it is what it ultimately needs to be. An album from the ’90s, from simpler and perhaps happier times.
So if you want to hear something that will offer you moments of carefreeness, that will lift your spirit and put a smile on your face, through a very good production and a pleasant atmosphere, this is a very good choice! For the end I left the cover, and it’s from the ’90s too!
