    BLOODBOUND was formed in 2004 at Bollnas, Sweden (the members are co-citizens with TAD MOROSE and MORGANA LEFAY) and since then it has released eight full length records and one live recording. If we have to describe its music this it would be “Heavy Melodic Power Metal” with extended use of keyboards which are overtaking the guitars, simple and solid drumming, guitar riffs that are a little bit complicated than glam and of course soaring choruses. The fresh North European Power metal.

    From the title we can assume that this recording was made to be only for die hard supporters and the fan club. Where do they locate? In Germany and Sweden mostly. There are five tracks in this recording, four of them were recorded live at Bang Your Head Festival in Balingen at 2017. BLOODBOUND are following the steps of SABATON, but they don’t have their flexibility. The lyrics are cliché and horrible, the singer Patrik Selleby is spluttering and screaming, the keyboards are covering all other instruments and the guitars tend to escape from the Europop aesthetic due to live recording. Even in the only studio song “ Bloodheads United” they dared to  add prerecorded  live crowd reactions.

    This EP was meant to be released in only five hundred copies in white vinyl and is mostly addressed to the fan club of the band. I don’t know if there is anyone die-hard fan out there (figure of speech now with the quarantine situation), but the rest of you who are keen on SABATON’s sound and have half an hour spare, you may listen to it. For all the others, stay away!
