THE WORLD’S BIGGEST METAL CONTEST is back this year at THE GALLERY, continuing our tradition of being pioneers and dynamic in everything we do! As we approach our six-year anniversary as a MAGAZINE, RADIO, and Facebook GROUP, we demonstrate that the people behind THE GALLERY don’t mess around or engage in keyboard heroics. On the contrary, everything we do here has a tangible impact on the real world!
As 2024 draws to a close, we invite you, as we do every year, to select the 12 best Extreme Metal albums of 2024, according to your own evaluation! Over the past 365 days, we’ve encountered numerous outstanding extreme sound releases that dominated our musical entertainment. Our goal is to compile, once again, a list of the 12 best albums of the year, focused on the Extreme Metal genre, specifically Thrash/Death/Black Metal and their subgenres.
This year, the list will be created by YOU, the readers of THE GALLERY, with valuable input from our editors! After reviewing 2024 and deciding which albums you enjoyed the most, we ask you to share with us the 12 releases that stood out for you (in descending order of preference—from your most liked to your least liked album). The final results will be determined by cross-referencing the rankings. For example:

Your top 1 album will receive 12 points, while your last choice will get 1 point. All scores will be summed up to determine the top 12 albums voted by our readers for 2024.
To enter the contest, you need to complete the following steps to ensure the integrity of your participation:
A. POST your list of the 12 best Extreme Metal albums of 2024 (in your opinion) in the comments section HERE, below the contest article. (You’ll need a username and an email address to post.)
B. WRITE the same list on the corresponding post on THE GALLERY: Metal Web Magazine’s Facebook page (HERE).
C. TAG a friend in your Facebook comment HERE, who you think should participate in our contest!
D. FOLLOW THE GALLERY: Metal Web Magazine page, LIKE the contest post HERE, and SHARE the contest on your personal Facebook profile.
Four simple steps!
The draw will take place in the new year after we collect all the lists and finalize the top 12. This process takes time, so please be patient.
Incomplete lists (fewer than 12 albums) will not be counted in the final results or included in the draw. Additionally, lists featuring bands outside the requested Extreme Metal subgenres will not be considered.
And because Christmas is around the corner, we’ve prepared some gifts! All participants will automatically enter a draw for the following prizes:
