Anniversary “best of live” for the 30 year history of this historical Hard Rock band. The “true” mastermind of the band is the German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell. This band has been in its thirties over the past 30 years, including great names at vocal part such as Rob Rock, Jeff Scott Soto and Bonnie Tyler. They celebrate it loudly and consistently with live recordings from Axel’s native place, the German city of Bochum as also from Budapest.
As its expected, here we are dealing with a “sober” collection of their best tracks from the full range of their career. An electrically “Neural” disc, in the style of DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW (Dio’s era). The album includes 16 Hard Rock songs, for those who love this sound, with special moments: “Fool Fool”, “Mystica” epic 15 minute (including drum solo in), “Long Live Rock” the mood of the party, from the sing along of the crowd and the performance of the band and finally the fantastic keyboard solo before the “Game of Sins / Tower of Babylon”.
Listening to the liveliness of this album, as well as Johnny Gioeli(who has been on vocals since 1997), in his thrilling performance in “Oceans Of Time”, all that you want at that time is to enjoy them live in the city where you live and have fun.
I would say, by hand to heart, that it is not only suitable for the band’s “die hard” fans, but also for those who would like a “quick” first acquaintance with Axel’s band!
