Andreas Kisser to Cavalera bros: “Let’s jam together for the fans of SEPULTURA!”

In an unexpected turn of events that could bridge the gap between the former co-founders of the legendary SEPULTURA, the band’s guitarist, Andreas Kisser, expressed his desire to invite Max and Igor Cavalera to join them on stage for one final appearance together. The band is currently in the middle of its farewell tour, celebrating 40 years since its founding, and the moment seems ideal for a historic reunion.

Andreas Kisser made this proposal during an interview on a German podcast, where he mentioned that he would be open to seeing the Cavaleras return for one last show, despite different perspectives and diverging memories from the past. The main goal is to have a good time and honor their music. He specifically said:

“We don’t care who is right or wrong. We’re never gonna get to that point. We have different point of views and different perspectives about same historical events and stuff. So let’s jam, let’s have a good time for the fans, for us, for ourselves, and really close this amazing 43 years or 44, whatever it’s gonna be at the time, in peace with ourselves, and really reach for something different afterwards. At least in my point of view, I like to, of course, continue with music and everything, but maybe do something different. Who knows?”

For metal music fans, this would undoubtedly be a unique experience. Max Cavalera left SEPULTURA three decades ago, and a reunion with Igor would be a significant moment.

It’s worth noting that Andreas Kisser made a similar statement in June 2024, emphasizing that it would be incredible to see the Cavaleras on stage again with the rest of the band, as long as the atmosphere remains celebratory rather than confrontational. He specifically said:

“I won’t deny that it would be great to have a very last show with their participation, but it has to be great. It has to have people who are there to celebrate and not trying to discuss who was right or wrong on decisions from the past. In the end, we are celebrating now as the SEPULTURA of today. If they want to be a part of it, it would be amazing.”

The question now is whether fans want to see the Cavaleras return for one final show with SEPULTURA. Share your thoughts in the comments section!
