Viking Metallers AMON AMARTH, are back with a new song under the title “Put Your Back Into The Oar“. That standalone single was recorded in January, 2021 at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren (DRAGONFORCE, SEPULTURA) having taken hold of the production and it was released on February 17th, 2022. The video accompaning the new track is filmed on location in Kent and East Sussex, UK.
The new track is introduced as an anthem for the fans who have taken to rowing in the mosh pit at the band’s live shows and is released via the group’s own newly launched label Victorious Music.
The band states about the new song: “ We’ve been quiet over the last two years, but we’ve been at home in Sweden hard at work behind the scenes. Much has been said about fans coming to our shows to have fun and doing the ‘epic Viking row.’ Well, we thought it was a good idea to write a song about it! This one is for you, the fans, wherever you are — and may Odin guide you as you row to your destiny in uncharted seas! Enjoy the song and video while we continue to work on a new album. We can’t wait to see all you heathens soon”.
AMON AMARTH will team up with MACHINE HEAD and THE HALO EFFECT for the “Vikings And Lionhearts” co-headlining European arena tour in September and October, 2022.
