At first we had the announcement of the title and the artwork, then the announcement of the world tour (that includes Greece in Release Athens next to JUDAS PRIEST on the 21st of July). Finally we have the first song from the upcoming new solo album of Bruce Dickinson, “The Mandrake Project»”.
The song is called “Afterglow Of Ragnarok” and its video clip is a short movies that introduces us to the world of “The Mandrake Project»”, a world so carefully created by Dickinson and his guitarist and producer Roy Z. The comic book that will accompany the new album tells a dark story of power, abuse and seek for the identity.
Dickinson and IRON MAIDEN always release albums of the top quality in every detail. The same happens in the release of this vinyl seven-inch single with the 8-page booklet, a sort of prequel comic for the main story. The seven-inch single also features Dickinson’s original solo demo version of the song “If Eternity Should Fail”, which first appeared on IRON MAIDEN’s album “The Book Of Souls” in 2015.
