A new chapter begins for SUICIDAL ANGELS, as the Greek Thrash Metal band announced today, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the departure of guitarist Gus Drax via social media. After nearly a decade of collaboration, the band and Drax have mutually decided to part ways, describing the decision as friendly and mutual.

SUICIDAL ANGELS stated in their official announcement:

«After 9.5 successful years, we have mutually decided to part ways with Gus. This was a decision made by both sides, in complete friendliness, and we fully understand his desire to follow a more Progressive path, dedicating himself to his own band, SUNBURST. We wish him every success in his future plans—he will always be one of us!»

Gus Drax himself confirmed his departure through his own statement, emphasizing that there is no drama behind the decision, but simply the closure of a significant chapter, stating:

«My journey with SUICIDAL ANGELS has come to an end. There is no drama behind this departure—it is simply the conclusion of my cycle with the guys. I want to thank Angel, Nick, and Orfeas for 10 incredible years, 3 amazing albums, and countless shows. I wish them all the best, both for the future of the band and in their personal lives. I express my gratitude to all the crew members I worked with—every FOH, every guitar tech, drum tech, every merchandiser, and manager we traveled and shared moments with. I appreciate it immensely.

A massive thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you for the endless love and support you have shown me over the years. I never took anything for granted and gave my all every night to give back that love. I look forward to the next chapter of my career and life. Music is my life, and I will continue to write music, tour, and, of course, teach. I am sure I will see you all again soon, somewhere out there. With appreciation, Gus Drax»
