Former BUTCHER BABIES singer, Carla Harvey, has announced the launch of her new project, THE VIOLENT HOUR. Some of the early recording sessions for the project have been overseen by renowned producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with bands such as ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER, and URIAH HEEP.

Harvey shared the news about THE VIOLENT HOUR in a social media post on Saturday, September 21th, 2024, stating:

“It’s coming! I’ve put my heart and soul into my new project THE VIOLENT HOUR over the last 6 months. I can’t wait for you to hear it. Keep your eyes peeled for updates. This is a slower process than I’d like…but…I’m pumped!”

In July, 2024, BUTCHER BABIES announced their split with Carla Harvey, acknowledging her as an integral part of their journey and wishing her the best in her future endeavors. Carla Harvey confirmed her departure in a separate post, expressing her pride in her work with BUTCHER BABIES and affirming that she’s “not done making music and performing.”

Last fall, Carla Harvey sat out the European tour of BUTCHER BABIES due to an emergency surgery on her left eye.
