French Black metallers SETH released the video for their new single “Et Que Vive le Diable!” from their upcoming seventh full-length album “La France des Maudits”.
Season of Mist’s press release is following:
In an era where the echoes of revolution have dulled to whispers, SETH roars back into the heart of the metal realm with their newest single, “Et Que Vive le Diable!”, a defiant anthem from their forthcoming opus, “La France des Maudits”. Channeling the unrest of spirits that once roamed the revolutionary streets of Paris, this track is a declaration – a spell that rekindles the flames of rebellion and ignites the soul with the insurrection’s fire.
Standing as titans amidst the cobblestones soaked in the lexicon of the damned, SETH wields “La France des Maudits” as a weapon against the sacrosanct silence that has befallen the music landscape. Each note a march, each lyric a cry in the dark – this is Black Metal not as it was, but as it should be: unapologetic, unforgiving, and unyieldingly innovative.
In “Et Que Vive le Diable!”, SETH crafts a grandiose narrative interlacing tales of divine defiance and liberation, draped over the backdrop of atmospheric Black Metal at its most artful and insurrectionary. SETH re-emerges, not just to reign but to revolutionize, not just to echo but to speak truths into the void of divine oppression.
Recorded in the venerable Sainte Marte studio under the watchful gaze of Francis Caste, “La France des Maudits” boasts a lineage of musicians whose names are etched into the pillars of the genre. Accompanied by the ghostly artistic visage captured by photographer Andy Julia and brought to life by director and producer Claudio Marino at Artax Film, “Et Que Vive le Diable!” is accompanied by a masterful visual production depicting SETH’s macabre take on the French Revolution.
