Herman Frank is not unknown in the metal community, as he is the former guitarist of the great Germans ACCEPT, with whom he released among others the monumental “Balls To The Wall” in 1983. He returned to the band in 2010 and remained an active member until 2014, releasing three more albums with them.
Now, with his personal band he presents us his new, fifth album entitled “Two For A Lie”. For those who have no contact with the German artist and his tenure at ACCEPT (and also at the well-known VICTORY) is not enough to give them an idea of what they will encounter in the album, maybe a look at the title of the first, stormy very strong song “Teutonic Order” will be able to point them undoubtly to the musical direction of the album.
In his new album, Frank does not come to claim any originality nor to show something new by representing some progressive thoughts, being active for almost forty years. He comes to do what he knows! To play Teutonic, dynamic Heavy Metal as the Germans know how to do very well. And he succeeds! One song follows the other… “Eye Of The Storm” is followed by “Hate”, “Liar” is followed by “Hail The New Kings” and somehow the ten compositions of the album conclude by reaching the tenth and last “Open Your Mind ” with the throttle pressed and without getting tired, worrying or having to think about it a lot, until you press play again.
With a record of pure fun and and an air of confidence by the great Herman Frank, “Two For A Lie” promises to pleasantly accompany the listener by offering him a carefree and full Metal experience in the forty-three minutes of its duration!
